This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) applies to all visitors and users (“you” or “User”) of the Petch mobile apps, website, services, and platform (collectively, “Petch”).

• Personal Information means any information that identifies or can reasonably be used to identify an individual.

• Sensitive Information includes pet health data, precise location data, and any other data designated as sensitive by applicable law.

• Algorithmic Recommendation means any personalized suggestion or match generated by automated data-driven processes.

2. Information We Collect

• Account Information: name, email, phone number, username, profile picture.

• Pet Profiles: pet name, breed, age, photos, MBTI personality results, health and training logs.

• Location Data: real-time GPS data (with your consent) powering AR bone hunts, event maps, and match radius.

• Media Uploads: photos, videos, and other content you share in blogs, diaries, or check-ins.

• Usage Data: clicks, screen views, preferences, in-app purchases, and Bone Quest activity.

• AI Interaction Logs: chat transcripts, AI health-quiz responses, and other data generated through Mochi AI.

3. How We Use Information

• Personalized Matching & Recommendations: power MBTI-based pet matching, event suggestions, and training tips.

• Core Features: enable AR bone hunts, skill-check-ins, leaderboard rankings, and mystery box distribution.

• AI Services: train and improve Mochi AI’s responses, triage pet-health inquiries, and refine chatbot behavior.

• Customer Support & Operations: resolve support tickets, monitor service quality, and optimize performance.

• Legal & Compliance: prevent fraud, enforce our Terms of Service, and comply with applicable regulations.

4. Third-Party Tools & Services

We may share your data with:

• Cloud & AI Providers: OpenAI, AWS (data processing and storage).

• Mapping APIs: Apple Maps, Google Maps, or local map providers for location features.

• Analytics & Crash Reporting: Firebase Analytics, Amplitude, or similar services under strict data-use agreements.

All third parties are bound by contracts that limit use of your data to the purposes described here.

5. Data Storage & Transfer

• Storage Locations: U.S., China, and other regions as required by local law.

• Cross-Border Transfers: encrypted in transit (TLS) and protected by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC) or equivalent safeguards.

• Chinese Users: personal data is stored and processed in Mainland China, in compliance with local regulations.

• Export your account and pet profile data in machine-readable format.

7. Children’s Privacy

Petch is not directed to children under 14. If we learn we have collected data from a child under 14, we will promptly delete it. Parents or guardians may request deletion at any time.

8. Algorithmic Transparency

We use AI algorithms for pet matching, event suggestions, and health-advice chat. You may disable personalized recommendations in your settings. No automated decision will have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

9. Policy Updates

We may update this Policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notification or email at least 14 days prior to taking effect.
